The City of Vancouver

Vancouver is located in the southwestern region of British Columbia and in between the Coast Mountains and the Pacific Ocean.

It is consistently hailed among the top 3 most livable cities in the world. It is also the third largest city in Canada, with almost half of its population as immigrants.

Forestry, mining, fishing, and agriculture are central to the city's economy, though it expanded into other industries including video game development. In addition, it has the third largest film production industry in North America, earning the label "Hollywood North".

Vancouver's climate is surprisingly mild compared to other Canadian cities and is most similar to Seattle's. That and its well-maintained parks, gardens, and surrounding natural landmarks make the city a world-renowned tourist attraction especially for outdoor recreation.

Vancouver will play host to the 2010 Winter Olympics, having once shined during the Expo 86 World Fair, considered the most successful World Fair ever.
