Montreal Hotels

In Montreal, expect extravagant-looking, turn of the century European hotels. Don't be surprised to find quite a number of them in historic Old Montreal, would not be complete without mentioning Hotel Pierre du Calvet. Built in 1725, this house-turned-hotel many satisfied guests, including Benjamin Franklin.

If you prefer something more modern, there's Hotel Saint-Paul and Hotel Gault in Old Montreal, and Hotel Godin.

There's been an influx of boutique hotels in Montreal since the late nineties, which include Hotel Le Germain, Hotel Le St-James, Hotel Nelligan, and Hotel St-Paul on West Sherbrooke St.

Sherbrooke and Downtown West have quality mid-range and budget accommodations like Le Meridien Versailles, Delta Montreal, and the Sheraton Four Points Montreal.

That is not to say these neighbourhoods are lacking in chic. Sherbrooke is also home The Ritz-Carlton and Hotel Omni Mont-Royal, both of which have set a very high bar in lodging luxury and class. The Ritz has an unmistakable old-world feel, well-preserved since it opened doors in 1913, while the Omni has lofty rooms, great views, and a cool vibe.
