Canadian Cuisine

A great feature of Halifax is its harbour, so do check out its fine seafood, or steaks, or both! Visit Five Fishermen, The Keg, Atlantis Steak and Lobster Co., or O'Carroll's.
International Dishes
If you're a little more adventurous, try a mix of seafood, veal, and pasta from Cafe Chianti or the highly acclaimed Da Maurizio for great Italian food. Or go Mediterranean with the appropriately named Anatolia and Athens restaurants. Chateau Briand is easily one of the best places to find fine European cuisine.
For something Asian, head over to Baan Thai or Talay Thai for the finest Thailand treats. Halifax is also home to a number of Japanese restaurants such as Doraku, Momoya, Hamachi, Maki Maki, and Dharma Sushi. Chinese specialty houses are not to be outdone either: check out Cheelin, hailed the best Chinese restaurant in the area, or Mu Lan Teahouse for lighter meals and other goodies.
