Fredericton Residences

Fredericton offers a lot of great places to live in permanently or for extended periods of stay.

The city's Southside is home to a downtown area where elegant Victorian-era residences can be found nearby. Southeast of the downtown core (near the O'Dell Park and forest area) sits the Silverwood neighbourhoods, which consist chiefly of suburban residences.

On the other hand, Fredericton's Northside is made up of several communities which were formerly separate from the city, such as Devon and Nashwaaksis. These boroughs are home to suburban neighbourhoods. Another Northside residential area is the Saint Mary's First Nation Aboriginal reserve.

The city's two universities also offer accommodations and residences (see Hotels article).

Being a diverse and multicultural city, Fredericton is a welcome place for people of different nationalities. The city is full of multi-ethnic cuisine restaurants, and immigrants will feel that they are right at home.
