Edmonton Restaurants

Have a hearty breakfast (or brunch) at High Level Diner in the University district, Barb & Ernie's on 72 Ave., or Cafe De Ville on 124 Street.

If you want a taste of Albertan cuisine, head straight to La Ronde at the Chateau Lacombe Crown Plaza Hotel, a rotating restaurant with a fine view of the river and is also called Edmonton's version of the Calgary Tower. There's also Cocoa's Restaurant and Lounge, the award-winning Hardware Grill, and Steels Caf and Grill.

For really cheap eats, try The Garage Burger Bar and Chicken for Lunch, both located downtown.

Asian cuisine is aplenty in Edmonton, too. Try Furusato (Japanese), Bul-Go-Gi House (Korean), Ban Thai (Thai), Tropika (Malaysian), Thanh Thanh Oriental Noodle House (Vietnamese), and Punjab Sweets and Restaurant (Indian).

On the European side, there's Il Portico (Italian), Koutouki (Greek), Bistro Praha (eastern European), and Creperie (French) -- hailed the most romantic restaurant in Edmonton along with the Red Ox Inn.
