Education
The University of Alberta is among the top five universities in all of Canada. Other post-secondary schools include Northern Alberta Institute of Technology (NAIT), Grant MacEwan College, King's University College, Athabasca University, University of Lethbridge, NorQuest College, and Concordia College.
Transportation
Edmonton has two airports, the larger of which is the Edmonton International Airport. VIA Rail sends passengers to Jasper National Park, Saskatchewan, and British Columbia while Canadian National (CN) Railroad main hub of operations is located in the city.
Inside the city, the Edmonton Transit System operates a light rail transit line as well as buses (including trolley buses).
Health
The major hospitals in Edmonton serve under the Capital Health Authority. These include The University of Alberta hospital and The Royal Alexandra Hospital. The Misericordia Hospital and The Grey Nuns Hospital are run by the Caritas Health Group.
Media
Edmonton has two major daily newspapers, namely The Edmonton Journal and The Edmonton Sun. There are six broadcast TV stations, eight FM, and seventeen AM radio stations.
