The City of Calgary

Calgary is the fastest growing city in Alberta and the whole of Canada. More than 3 million tourists set foot in this city every year as it is famous for many different attractions, including the Calgary Stampede. Its strong "cowboy culture" has earned Calgary the nickname "Nashville of the North".

Calgary is considered one of the top cities that have a high quality of living. It is also the world's cleanest city in 2007, according to Forbes Magazine.

The city's land area surpasses that of New York City and Toronto. Calgary is geographically divided into for quadrants: northwest, northeast, southwest, southeast. It is relatively hilly since it lies closely to both the Canadian Prairies and the Rocky Mountains. Generally, it is the sunniest places in the country, but summers are short and winters are long and dry.

It is also worth noting that Calgary is the only city with no provincial sales tax!
